Create your healing and loving vision for 2020. According to the American Optometric Association, 2020 vision refers to normal visual acuity (the clarity or sharpness of vision) measured at a distance of 20 feet. While I did not coin the phrase, it seems very apt for the start of this year and this decade.
In my previous post: https://www.capetowncounselling.co.za/on-new-years-resolutions/ I refer to “… the core of new year’s resolutions is the individual’s desire to be a better human being, including a need to be healthier, wealthier, friendlier, more approachable, more giving, more focussed, more present/conscious, more aware and more connected.” This resonates with Madison Taylor from Daily Om, who shares her thoughts on the new year, “I take advantage of this magical, new energy to look at how I can improve my life. I take the time to see if there are any places in my life that I have hidden away or avoided working on and look where I can take steps to improve in those places.” https://www.dailyom.com/cgi-bin/display/articledisplay.cgi?aid=72401
Are there places in your life that you want to sharpen the focus on this year? Is it time to get to the bottom of the constant tension in your relationship(s)? It is time to unpack why you cannot seem to get a relationship off the ground? Is it time to unpack all the hurt, anger, shame you feel from the past that is holding you back? Perhaps this year is the year to look at repeated patterns of self-sabotage? Perhaps you want to look at why you cannot get off the couch to start that new course that you have wanted to do for so many years but just never go there? Perhaps it is time to bring some healing and love to yourself.
I invite you to try – create your 2020 Vision . Do you need help figuring out where or how to start? I truly believe that we all deserve to and have the capability and potential to live the fullest, happiest lives possible. It may feel daunting to start doing the work necessary to achieve this, but all it takes is the first step, and I shall walk with you and journey with you for as long as necessary.
What vision do you create for yourself this year?
